Daughters of the King

Last night I had the wonderful opportunity of speaking on behalf of Operation Sweet 16 to a group called Daughters of the King.    I was able to share Operation Sweet 16’s mission and journey to an incredible group of faith-filled women.  Each of them were so supportive and eager to help.  Having such a wonderful group supporting my non-profit is so elating.  I know this group of women will help spread the word to not only better the lives of our troops but to better our nation.  I am excited to see what the future holds.

Soldiers Many Miles Away

i Feb 5th No Comments by

Football season is now over!!  The Super Bowl was so entertaining this year.  Sitting next to a warm fire and surrounded by friends brought the biggest smile to my face.  As the commercials became funnier and funnier, one truly caught my eye.  Across the screen I saw various Soldiers saying hello to their families and loved ones.  They would give a hearty smile and a big wave.  I glanced around the room and saw my friends gleaming faces and it felt as if time stopped.  I was surrounded with warmth and love and when I peeked back towards the television I saw America’s Hero’s waving to their friends.  The Soldiers were not able to wrap their arms around their spouse when the Seahawks scored.  The Soldiers could not pick up their child to express joy when the Broncos scored.  When the Seahawks intercepted the ball, our sweet Soldiers celebrated many miles away.

I think often times it is easy to forget that our freedom is not free.  Always be thankful for each sunrise and sunset.  We live a life of luxury thanks to Americas Hero’s.

Thank you for helping me, help others.

I am extremely honored to have been awarded the Hal’s Hero Award from WBAP News/Talk 820AM radio station for the creation of Operation Sweet 16. I would like to thank WBAP and all of their listeners for the support. A big thank you to Susan Cutts, my wonderful grandmother, who nominated me.

Breakfast with Grapevine Merchants

i Aug 23rd No Comments by

Yesterday morning I was able to have breakfast with the Merchants of Grapevine. Thanks to Debbie Meek, the president, I was able to share information about Operation Sweet 16 and give an update on what was new. Everyone responded with positive attitudes. I was also about to introduce the idea of partnering with some of the shops. Grapevine is a very lively city with many wonderful people. I am excited for future partnerships to come about.

Cross Country Runners

Yesterday I was able to speak with my cross country team about Operation Sweet 16! These kids are outside everyday running miles in over 100 degree weather. That screams dedication!! I knew these motivated teens would be a wonderful start. I was able to share what the second phase of Operation Sweet 16 is. I am happy to say many students have now decided to give up at least one birthday to help our Troops! I hope you will do the same.

Thank you for helping me, help others.
