September 23, 2011 – Thanks to KWRD 100.7 FM, The Word, for airing a short announcement about Operation Sweet 16 during the Caroll-Northwest Dragons football game. My thanks to Chuck Kelly and Dane Minor from Freeman Toyota for helping me get the message out and providing me with an audio file of the announcement to post to our website. September 7, 2011 – I was invited to do a segment on Good Morning Texas, and what a day! I talked with Paige McCoy Smith from www.notsoperfectparent.com about OpSweet16 in Victory Park. The Lone Star Performance Buick Club showed their support for us at this event and later that week at our 9/11 car show at Texas Motor Speedway. The cast and crew of the show surprised me with a amazing Operation Sweet 16 themed cake from Haute Cakes and Cookies and the chance to meet and talk with some of our local military personnel. An emotional, wonderful event. Thanks to everyone who participated! Follow Paige McCoy Smith on Twitter here.

The interview will air Sunday morning June 12th between 6-7AM on KLUV and KVIL and on KLUV.com after 8AM. Also check out the KLUV’s Fresh Flag project! You can also follow them on Twitter (@kluv987).
